The upcoming season calls for an adjustment in makeup styles and products. Ladies, it’s time to get ready for fall season by making the following changes:
Say hello to creamy: Lower temperatures call for creamier cleansing products. Gel cleansers, which break up excess oil, work well in the summer but fall and winter mean drier skin, so switching to a creamier cleanser only makes sense. Ditto a slightly heavier moisturizer.
Repair summer skin damage: The irritants of summer, like chlorinated pools and salt water beaches, sand and sweat all take a toll on your complexion. It’s a good idea to have a professional facial so that any problems can be addressed and remedied.
Review what’s in your makeup bag: Summer makeup colors run to sheer and bright, fall colors are more sophisticated and muted. You may want to switch from BB cream to a foundation, from bronzing powder to contouring powder and from metallic to matte eye shadows.
Toss any outdated cosmetics (anything older than six months is what experts suggest) and thoroughly clean makeup brushes.
Keep drinking water: Water is a miracle cosmetic. Be sure that as summer ends, you continue to drink enough water to keep your skin smooth and supple. Just because hot weather is ending doesn’t mean you need less hydration!
