Homeopathic physician Dr. Edward Bach formulated his 38 Bach Flower Remedies in the 1920s-30s. The remedies are designed to help people and animals recover emotional balance during illness or trauma.
The Bach Flower Remedies are easy to use. Simply put two drops of the remedy or each of the combination of remedies that are best suited to the condition into a 1-ounce bottle of distilled water and shake the capped bottle vigorously for a few seconds before administering 4 drops, 4 times a day until your pet feels better.
You can combine up to 6 or 7 Remedies in a treatment bottle. You can also add 1 drop from each remedy to your pets drinking bowl, or rub a little on their paws or ears 4 times a day.
Rescue Remedy is the most commonly used remedy for pets. It’s been used quite successfully on animals who have experienced trauma, are afraid of loud noises such as thunder and fireworks, or become agitated and fearful when visiting the veterinarian and groomer. Rescue Remedy can be rubbed on the animal’s gums, ears or paws as needed or you can add 2 drops to the drinking water.
A sheet or small booklet describing each of the remedies and its uses is usually available where the remedies themselves are sold.
The next time one of your pets has an emotional issue, give Bach Flower Remedies a try. You may be delighted with how well they work!
