It’s bad enough to feel sick, but when you look and feel sick it’s even worse!
Here are some makeup tips that can help you look good when you’re feeling bad:
Go easy on the eyes: Eyes are easily irritated when we’re sick, so use just enough makeup to conceal puffiness. Be sparing with mascara and eyeliner, both of which can annoy irritated eyes even more.
Moisturize generously: Even a cold can deplete skin moisture, so apply moisturizer liberally and often.
Use BB cream: Unlike liquid foundations, which can look chalky when you’re ill, BB cream will keep your skin hydrated as well as hide imperfections.
Choose translucent powder: Sometimes our complexions appear more sallow when we’re sick. A little translucent powder over the BB cream can add some camouflage. But, since dry skin often accompanies illness, keep powder use to a minimum.
Lip balm, not lipstick: A tinted lip balm will add a little color and keep your lips from becoming dry and chapped. Lipstick will likely make you look pallid.
Drink water: Water is one of the best cosmetics in the world, so drink plenty of it to keep your skin well hydrated and improve your appearance!
